Today, August 27, 2017, Abia state marked it 26 years of it creation by the military government of Major-General Badmosi Babanginda(rtd) in 1991.
Before this present Democratic dispensation, Abia state has been ruled by five military administrators and three civilian governors. Presently, Abia has Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as Governor.
It is no longer in doubt that since the inception of Democratic government in 1999, Abia state is not lucky to have good leaders. Currently The state is backward in terms of infrastructural development. No schools, No good stadium, No airport, No road, No industries, No Job.
All the past governors of Abia state failed the mandate given to them by the people. They failed to create conducive environment for the people. They failed to live up to the expectation of generality of Abians. They failed to provide infrastructural amenities to the people. They failed in all areas. They looted Abia state blind especially the immediate past government.
Presently Abians are suffering due to the incompetence of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as the number one citizen of the state. The governor assumed office 29th of May 2015 and this is exactly two years of his administration, he has failed to pay workers salaries, he has failed in all facets of governances. Nothing at all to show as achievements.
All the business and foreign trips embarked by Governor Ikpeazu, no single foreign investors has invested in Abia. Umuahia, which is the capital of Abia has been abandoned by Ikpeazu with Salad cabbages littered all over the streets in Umuahia.
Infact, today’s Abia 26 anniversary do not call for celebration because GOVERNOR OKEZIE VICTOR CHIBUIKEM IKPEAZU has failed woefully in all facets of Abia governance.
Also, one should understand right from the day one, Dr. Ikpeazu was not prepared for the job. He was brought into the seat to cover the sins of the immediate past governor of the state and his family.
ADVICE:I advise Governor Ikpeazu that after his present tenure, he should not think of re-election because the people are angry. Looking at the faces Abians, they are anxiously waiting to revolt against him and his Godfather.
Again Abia @ 26, NO AIRPORT, NO EMPLOYMENT, NO GOOD SCHOOLS, NO WELL EQUIPPED HOSPITALS, NO INDUSTRIES, NO GOOD ROADS, NO FOOD ON PEOPLE’S TABLE, NO GOOD STADIUM ETC.
