EFCC Did Not Arrest Ihejirika
Information making round on social media of the arrest of Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika rtd is false based on our exclusive report.
AFN dispatched a reporter to the resident of the former Chief of Army Staff in Abuja as the news of his arrest by EFCC was published by naij.com , our reporter discovered that the story was untrue.
Our reporter saw the former CoAS relaxing in his sitting room few minutes again ago discussing with friends and receiving calls from friends /well-wishes who are conscience about the information on social media.
One of his personal assistant had this to say ,
“AFN, as you can see the chief is in his house relaxing, please disregard all those false information’s and make the world know the true story. We are aware some people want Chief arrested for personal interest, but they have been disappointed all this while and they will continue to be disappointed”.
“It is so embarrassing that some people will be out to instigate the EFCC, not knowing that the EFCC work with facts and under the law. The pull down syndrome of our people must stop and those seeking for Chief to be arrested will be arrested and disgraced first ” he concluded.
It should be remembered that Ihejirika is the only recent chief of Army staff that has not being implicated in any of the arms deal scandal making round recently.
