SUPPORT FOR ME NOT ANTI PARTY, ORACLE DECLARES
Barr Oracle Chukwudi Nwala has declared that any support for him from any political party, group or members, should not be viewed as anti-party but as classical expression of freedom of choice by those who have realized that their destiny is in their hands. Barr Oracle Nwala made this declaration in Mgbedeala when APGA Rising Sun Movement adopted him as their candidate in the February 16th Federal House of representatives election. The APGA Rising Sun Movement is a strong Pro Group in APGA that plays prominent role in grass root mobilization. This adoption is coming on the heels of an earlier adoption by Ngwa Leaders of Tomorrow, another APGA grass root structure.
The SDP Flagbearer for Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, who chronicled his reasons for leaving APGA said he refused to throw APGA into crisis at the point of departure from the party because he believes like the woman in the Bible who refused to allow King Solomon divide her son, that members of APGA who remember his many selfless sacrifices in building APGA which includes renting and equipping a functional party office in some LGAs, will certainly cast their vote for him.
He thanked the leadership and members of the APGA Rising Sun Movement, whom he said their adoption has shown that he will reap the fruits of his labor and many years of sacrifice in APGA. He made it clear that Party is only a vehicle that politicians use in actualizing their ambition and that he’s not in enmity with anyone. Stressing further, he said I am not in enmity with Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu or Dr. Alex Otti nor Dr. Uche Ogah even though our interest may be at variance and only temporarily. He bemoaned the fact that some politicians fuel crisis among their followers as a flap for their social security and political relevance.
In his speech, the State Coordinator of APGA Rising Sun, Mr. Pele Nwa Erondu, described Barr Oracle Nwala as an exceptional politician who paid his dues both in PDP and APGA. He recalled that The Barr Oracle Nwala was one of the strongest pillars of APGA and that what endeared him to the group, was his impressive leadership qualities which he exhibited while in APGA. He pledged his group’s support to his election.
The SDP Ward 1 Chairman, Mr Kelechi Emeonye, who witnessed the historic adoption, lauded the group for choosing individual competence over party. He reiterated that the February 16 election has nothing to do with the party in contest but the individuals and their capacities.
An APGA stalwart who pleaded anonymity decried the exit of Barr Oracle Nwala from the party and affirmed that the man Oracle was a uniting and rallying point in AGPA that has left a vacuum both in the party and the campaign council.
